A Confident Heart (pre-bible study)

*Keep Calm & Carry On and an Excited Newbie

The time has come and I must say that I'm super excited about participating in my first OBS (online bible study). When I saw the book's title (A Confident Heart), I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I felt a nudge in my spirit that just said---  "order the book and be open to what lies ahead". Before deciding to participate in the OBS, I had been re-reading and studying God's word regarding the spiritual gifts He gives us and connecting this to what seemed to be my purpose. I find it amazing how God speaks to us through various forms---in my case, PEOPLE and BOOKS. In the midst of reading and studying about spiritual gifts and purpose, I finally received my copy of the book "A Confident Heart"---I couldn't wait to began reading it! Ladies, all I can say is this book has blessed me beyond belief! Renee's stories and connections to the bible was just what I needed. I am just so thankful that she stepped outside of her comfort zone and shared these personal, yet heart warming stories for women across the world to hear. So often, we as women think we are alone when it comes to dealing with our struggles, problems, fears, worries, & imperfections. Our longings and desires can make us feel selfish, not worthy, and even confused, but thank God for Renee's stories----for me, they helped unveil the lies that the devil wants us (women) to believe. This book has given me a clear vision of my purpose and is continuously helping me be the confident woman that God has called me to be. I am learning that my confidence comes through living in God's promises---- and living in His promises is what I'm committed to doing. My favorite promise reads, "For I know the plans I have for you", says the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"(Jeremiah 29:11). How awesome is it to know that God's plans include prospering us, giving us hope, giving us a future!?!?!  For this promise alone is my definition of #perfectlove.  I look forward in fellowshipping and worshipping with each of you. May this OBS bless you exceedingly abundantly more than you can ever ask for or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Blessings,

Kisha
